1. Sheet Cakes
Order a small cake for display and sheet cakes to serve to your guests. You can store the sheet cake in the kitchen's venue and serve it when cutting the cake. Your guests will never notice the difference!
2. Cake Stands
In So Sweet! we have a variety of gorgeous cake stands that you can rent! But...I always recommend to my brides to search first in Amazon, Target, Michael's, etc. You can find some cake stands for the low price of $20. And the most important thing, you don't have the stress
to return it.
3. Cupcakes
Cupcakes are a very nice way to save some money. A wedding cupcake can cost $2.50 each vs a cake slice of $4.50. If you like cupcakes this is a great option.
4. Serve Smaller Slices
Ask to a family member or to your caterer to cut small slices. Here you will find a helpful guide from Wilton's to follow.
5. Use fresh flowers instead sugar flowers
Sugar flowers take time to elaborate and can cost between $6 to $10 each. Ask your florist lo leave some flowers or buy some and ask your baker to arranged them at the venue.
